First, it is unlikely any or his additional would be given to NASA.

As a general principle, the more billionaires like Bezos pay to taxes, the more will go to individual programs and agencies like NASA.

Second commercial space is pointedly trying to show us that space travel can be done more affordable that the NASA. Check the GAO’s scolding of NASA.

GAO scolding, and whatever it is you think you mean by ‘pointedly,’ aside there is no proof whatsoever that space travel can be done more affordably not least because what they are trying to do now is not possible without which NASA has done already: any cost savings by ‘commercial space’ is borne on the back of previous NASA spending.

A priori animus to government spending is not useful as datum and only underlines the point about billionaires, and others, who think they know best because they can point to something to criticize
