I am not a fan of Quentin Tarantino. Take that for what it is worth…

However, I feel compelled to point out that any judgements of speech, Black or White, depicted in a movie may be subject to requirements of politesse that are, themselves, rather White. Such etiquette, itself, may either be a form of hegemony or a guardian angle against any subterfuge of the hegemony.

As such, the requirement that Blacks hold to a White version of proper etiquette are, at best, an altogether too-close second cousin to racial tropes.
