John DeVore, I mostly agree… only my Boston hackles are raised when you (following Miranda's lead) talk smack of John Adams.

Not, certainly, any more perfect a man than any other, including Hamilton.

Adams fingerprints are all over the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution is modeled on the Massachusetts Constitution, which he wrote, and which remains the oldest living constitution still in use . Much that you talk about, and rightly praise, in experiment, promise and aspiration, are directly attributable to Adams. And he never owned slaves and was faithful to his wife.
