So, ah, whattya trying to say?

If this is just a list of low-quality testosterone-fueled mayhem porn and/or bullet ballets, then--excepting Fight Club-- it's a fair cop.

If it's a list of films of dicks being violent dicks to each other there are a wide variety of movies, of higher quality, that are, generally, more entertaining (Tho' I must admit that I did enjoy Con-Air... Not least because Steve Buscemi just sitting still caused the entire movie to swerve) I feel like Fight Club stands out on this list like an exception to a rule not articulated....

Here's some films that are suffused with the near suffocating rush of maleness, animosity, and violence that some of the films on your list speak to crudely.

The Searchers

Winchester '73

The Spy Who Came In From The Cold

The Outlaw Josie Wales

Jeremiah Johnson

Unforgiven

Glengarry Glen Ross (no actual physical violence, but verbal and psychological violence off the deep end)

No Country For Old Men.

There Will Be Blood

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy

Anything and everything by Quentin Tarantino
