Well, I can't be certain they didn't 'fool around,' but I do know that, at least on my father's side, they were very close knit: all lived within one square mile of each other, working and socializing together... and sharing a lot of their problems, so if the question of a problem in a particular marriage arose it was known immediately and addressed by all. That I do know. Were their marriages perfect? I don't think so, but, again, I think that a lot of them would have said they were 'happy.'
